Sindhu is off to leadership camp this week. In 4th grade, it was just for one night. She didn't know her roommate and got scared at night and quietly sneaked into the teacher's tent and slept there. It was her first year and she was still adjusting to the school. In 5th grade, it was a 2 night/3day camp, she was rooming with her closest friends and she and her friends were euphoric when they arrived back at the school for pickup. She still talks about how much fun it was even though the food was horrible and there were bugs in the bathrooms. In 6th grade, it's a whopping 5 night/6 day camp! I can't believe she'll be gone for so long. She was so excited about it and doesn't seem to be bothered that it's almost a week long. She took her cell phone so at least we'll be able to reach her easily. Hope she has a lot of fun and that it will be a memorable experience!

wow - this is a long week. Nina wants to go camping as well and I would love to ease her into something like Sindhu's program.
The 5th graders go for 1 night in the spring and it goes to 3 nights for 6th graders and 5 nights for 7th graders I think..
