Running for life
Prasad has been running since the mid nineties and he has more or less stuck to it over the years. But, he has only been consistently running since we've moved to India. A couple of weeks ago, he ran Bangalore's most popular marathon called Sunfeast. It attracts international participants primarily from the African countries. The top 3 winners of the competitive run were three Africans. Prasad ran in the "public 10K run" and there is also a "5K run" which is the most popular. There was a pretty big gang from our complex that carpooled together to the run including a female 9th grader from Sindhu's school. I've always been impressed with her interest in sports, although she is hardly ever seen during the school year, in the summertime, she's out jogging, playing soccer or basketball with the boys, she's one of the few girls who is able to balance being a tomboy and a typical female teenager.
