Zoo portion of the Ooty trip

We just got back from a relaxing few days in Ooty. On the drive there, we drove through Bandipur Nataional Park.We saw 2 sets of elephants, different species of monkeys, deer and a peacock. Unbelievably suprising to see so many sightings in such a short period of time. On the way back though, we saw a few deer and monkeys but nothing like the sightings we had a few days before.

The next day, on our drive to Cunoor, we stopped on the way to eat lunch. We seriously could not find a good picnic spot so we had to eat in the car. Anyway, we saw this cute mother and baby monkey and couldn't resist taking a picture of them. The baby behaved just like a newborn would, nursing randomly as she pleased, cuddling up to her mother, napping, putting anything and everything into her mouth, it was like watching a human baby.

The rabbits in the picture occupied hours of the kid's time. Sindhu begged us to buy pet rabbits when we got back. They were very cute. The hotel released them on their lawns every morning and all the kids and even some adults were mesmorized by them. S&R also got to go horseback riding, another perk of staying at the Savoy.

There ends our zoo portion of the trip. :-)

what pretty pictures - I love the ones of the bunnies..

Your travel descriptions are so well written - I would love for you to publish the "Mythili's" equivalent of the Lonely planet.. I would definitely buy one because you provide a "kids included" version of everything..
