One of Prasad's colleagues went to the US on business for the first time. Two observations he made:
1) He asked a local colleague if there was a strike in the city because there was noone on the streets. His friend said, nope, this is how it is always :-)
2) At the mall, he saw this adorable girl and went up and touched her cheek. Her mother was horrified, his friend pulled him away explaining that you don't touch children you don't know.

I am convinced the touching strange children is propagated by Indian movies - movie stars in song sequences will go up to perfect strangers and be "super friendly"
Interestingly enough - I have not seen too much of an incidence where people touch stranger's children in India either.
