Initially, I didn't see the point in going to Phuket, it's just another beach town however, I'm really glad we did. S & R love lazing in the sun, swimming and hanging out at the hotel which is pretty much what we did in Phuket. We stayed at the
JW Marriott on an isolated beach and it was the perfect place to chill. The original plan was to meet another family in Phuket unfortunately, they were delayed in London and had to postpone their stay and our dates didn't overlap. We stayed two nights near Kata beach at
Sugar Palms Hotel so we could experience the Phuket culture.Phuket caters to tourists, the restaurants and shops service foreigners so it has an artificial feel to it but it was a nice break from sightseeing. One of the highlights was that Prasad and Sindhu spent an afternoon snorkelling on the Khai Islands.
