At dinner today, we were generally discussing how to handle situations when children make fun of a friend at school or on a bus . Sindhu in her no-nonsense, tell it like it is way, declares that Rushil doesn't always defend his friends and she sees it happen on the bus all the time. Rushil explained that sometimes, the kids pressure him to choose a side and although he doesn't make fun of his friend, he also doesn't defend him because of the possible repercussions. We asked Rushil if anyone makes fun of him. Rushil smiles and says no. Sindhu apparently engrossed in her book, looks up and says, "That's because he gives away all his snacks to those boys so they don't bother him!" We all had a good laugh :-)
