Ravi's and Gautham's visit

Ravi visited us last week. Raji and the kids could not make it unfortunately but we were very happy that Ravi was able to spend a few days with us. The kids were thrilled that Ravi was visiting us and asked about him every day . Unfortunately, a few minutes after he arrived, we lost all power to our house. We had been running on a generator for most of the day and we just thought it was a typical power shortage. Prasad had turned on all the lights (as he does every day) forgetting that he would drain the generator's battery. So Kaboom, it's completely dark in the house. We turned off all the lights except one essential one and Prasad rebooted the generator and we were back in business. Then we looked outside and realized that everyone else had power so this was specific to our house :-( Anyway, we ignored the problem (again hoping it would go away) and went to our neighbor's house for dinner. Our landlord wanted to drop by and see the house but given it was completely dark, they spared us. The next day, we found out that a fuse was burnt and caused our power cut, the electrician fixed the issue later that morning. After this incident, we always check to make sure that we're having real power cut vs some issue specific to our house. These are the adventures we experience a couple of times a month.

Gautham arrived in Bangalore in the middle of the week. He dropped by on Thursday night for dinner, then he joined us on Saturday night for dinner at a friend's place. Both Gautham and Garima were the first couple from our playgroup to visit us in Bangalore. We're looking forward to visits from all of you during your trips to India
