Hannah Montana is so not "in"
Rushil had decided he has outgrown Sindhu's bike. Other than a few days of kinship, most of the time, S&R are both fighting for the same bike. On the occasion of Rushil's birthday, Prasad and I took him to the toy store to pick out a toy. You all should check out Sapphire Toys when you're in Bangalore, they have opened up this brand spanking new two level toy store, much more impressive than the one on Brigade road. Prasad had a brilliant idea of buying Sindhu a new bike and letting Rushil own Sindhu's bike. When the bike mechanic at the store took 30 minutes to get the brakes working, this should have been a sign for us but we still bought the bicycle. Naturally we assumed Sindhu would be so thankful and in great spirits for the next few days and peace would reign again in the house. She took one look at the bike and told us she wouldn't be caught dead with it because it had Hannah Montana pictures all over it. It did ring warning bells for me at the store, but somehow I ignored them. She was all worried that her classmate who lives in the neighborhood would make fun of her and tell the whole class she had a Hannah Montana bike. A couple of Octobers ago, she wanted to be Hannah Montana for Halloween but now she doesn't want to be associated to her. Prasad went back to the store and exchanged it for a Power Rangers bike for Rushil. Rushil was thrilled! Ofcourse after he started riding it, he referred to it as his Indian bike since it didn't have the great features that Sindhu's bike had, like being light weight and not requiring him to press the handle for the brakes. I'm just holding my breath when he comes back and says this bike is not good enough for him.

LOL! You can't win, can you?!
This is funny. How is the whole Hanna Montana thing in India? What do the kids there follow?
